Sambal Soto

#1 Sambal Soto Babat

6 cabai rawit
1 buah kemiri
3 sendok makan kecap asin
1/4 buah jeruk nipis

Cara Membuat

Goreng kemiri.
Haluskan cabai rawit dan kemiri.
Tambahkan kecap asin, beri air perasan jeruk nipis.
Hidangkan di atas piring sambal.

#2 Sambal Soto Ayam

6 buah cabai merah, direbus
10 buah cabai rawit, direbus
3 butir kemiri, digoreng
1 siung bawang putih, digoreng
1 buah jeruk nipis
4 sendok makan air panas
1/2 sendok teh garam halus
1/2 sendok teh gula pasir

Cara Membuat

Haluskan cabai merah, cabai rawit, bawang putih dan kemiri sampai halus.
Tambahkan garam dan gula pasir, campur rata.
Tambahkan air panas kira-kira 4 sendok makan. Aduk rata.
Dihidangkan dengan perasan air jeruk nipis dan sedikit bawang goreng.

#3 Sambal Soto Sulung

7 buah cabai merah, direbus
6 buah cabai rawit, direbus
3 butir kemiri, digoreng
1 buah jeruk nipis
garam secukupnya

Cara Membuat

Haluskan semua bahan kecuali jeruk nipis.
Tambahkan sedikit air hangat.
Tambahkan perasan air jeruk nipis secukupnya.

#4 Sambal Soto Madura

4 buah cabai merah
10 buah cabai rawit
5 butir kemiri, direbus
garam secukupnya

Cara Membuat

Semua bahan dihaluskan bersama.

Chili Sauce for Soto

#1 Chili Sauce for Tripe Soto

6 bird’s eye chilis
1 candlenut
3 tablespoon salty soy sauce
1/4 lime

Cara Membuat

Fry candlenut. Then blended together with bird’s eye chili.
Add salty soy sauce and lime juice.
Serve on a saucer.

#2 Chili Sauce for Chicken Soto

6 red chilis, boiled
10 bird’s eye chilis, boiled
3 candlenuts, fried
1 clove garlic, fried
1 lime
4 tablespoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar


Blend red chili, bird’s eye chili, garlic and candlenut finely.
Add salt and sugar, well mixed.
Add hot water, well stirred.
Add some lime juice and fried sliced-garlic when served.

#3 Chili Sauce for Sulung Soto

7 red chilis, boiled
6 bird’s eye chilis, boiled
3 candlenuts, fried
1 lime
salt to taste


Blend all ingredients but lime.
Add a little warm water.
Add lime juice to taste.

#4 Chili Sauce for Madurese Style Soto

4 red chilis
10 bird’s eye chilis
5 candlenuts, boiled
salt to taste


All ingredients are blended together evenly.
