Rendang Telur

Bahan-bahan

  • 8 butir telur, rebus hingga matang, kupas, sisihkan
  • 3/4 butir kelapa tua, dibuat santan
  • 5 butir bawang merah
  • 2 siung bawang putih
  • 1/2 ruas jari lengkuas, memarkan
  • 4 buah cabai merah
  • 1/2 ruas jari kunyit
  • 1/2 lembar daun kunyit
  • 1 ruas jari jahe, memarkan
  • sedikit minyak goreng untuk menumis

Cara Membuat

  • Semua bumbu kecuali lengkuas, jahe dan daun kunyit, dihaluskan.
  • Panaskan minyak dalam wajan, tumis bumbu halus tersebut sampai berbau harum.
  • Masukkan santan kental, telur, lengkuas, jahe dan daun kunyit, aduk-aduk perlahan.
  • Sesekali diaduk perlahan, biarkan hingga santan mengental hampir kering dan keluar minyaknya, baru diangkat.

Egg Rendang

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs, boiled until tender, shelled, keep aside awhile
  • 750 ml thick coconut milk
  • 5 shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cn galangal, crush
  • 4 red chilis
  • 1 cm curcumine
  • 1/2 curcumine leaf
  • 2 cm ginger, crush
  • a little cooking oil for sautéing

Method

  • Shallots, garlics, chilis and curcumine are blended altogether.
  • Heat cooking oil on a oriental fry pan, sauté the ground spices until the fragrant.
  • Pour the coconut milk, and add eggs, galangal, ginger and curcumine leaf, stirred slowly. Boiled with sometimes stirred slowly until the coconut milk reduced almost ‘dry’ and appears the oil, then remove from stove.
  • Serve it.

Note : Rendang (rên-dunk) is a kind of traditional culinair which using simmering method in spice and coconut milk.
