Ayam Goreng Balado

Bahan-bahan

  • 1 ekor ayam muda
  • 5 butir bawang merah, dirajang kasar
  • 2 buah tomat, dirajang kasar
  • 200 gram cabai merah keriting, dirajang kasar
  • 3 sdm air asam jawa
  • 1/2 sdm kunyit yang sudah digiling/dihaluskan
  • 1/2 sdt gula pasir
  • garam secukupnya
  • Minyak goreng secukupnya

Cara Membuat

  • Ayam dibersihkan dan dipotong sesuai selera. Lumuri dengan kunyit dan garam merata.
  • Panaskan minyak, goreng ayam hingga matang, sisihkan.
  • Kurangi minyak hingga tersisa 2-3 sendok makan, tumis bawang merah, cabai merah dan tomat hingga harum.
  • Tambahkan gula pasir dan air asam jawa, aduk sebentar.
  • Masukkan ayam goreng, aduk-aduk beberapa saat hingga bumbu rata dan meresap. Angkat dan hidangkan.

Balado (Spicy) Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 young chicken
  • 5 shallots, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 200 grams red chili, coarsely chopped
  • 3 tablespoon tamarind water (taken from mixing of some tamarind and some clear water)
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • salt to taste
  • cooking oil

Method

  • Cut chicken into parts to your taste, then apply ground turmeric and salt evenly onto every part of chicken (to be marinated).
  • Heat cooking oil then deep fry chicken until done.
  • Redice cooking oil until 2-3 tablespoon left, then sauteéd shallot, tomato and red chili until aromatic. Add sugar and tamarind water, stirred awhile.
  • Add chicken parts, stirred for some moments so the condiment is well absorbed and evenly covers the chicken parts. Lifted out from pan then served.
